Abstract

The increasing global awareness of environmental sustainability has led to a growing demand for companies
to adopt environmentally responsible practices. This study aims to analyze the implementation of green accounting at PT
Mayora Indah Tbk. to determine its impact on financial performance. This study employed a mixed-method approach,
combining both quantitative and qualitative data. The data were collected through documentation of the annual reports and
sustainability reports of PT Mayora Indah Tbk. from 2019 to 2023. The analysis of green accounting practices at PT Mayora
Indah Tbk. revealed that the company's commitment to environmental sustainability, labor welfare, social and community
development, and product responsibility aligns with the regulations set forth in the Decree of the Chairman of the Capital
Market and Financial Institutions Supervisory Agency (KEP-134/BL/2006). The integration of green accounting practices
has positively impacted the financial performance of PT Mayora Indah Tbk. The efficiencies gained from green practices,
along with strong stakeholders relationships and consumer trust, have contributed to the company's sustainable growth and
long-term profitability. This research highlights the importance of green accounting as a strategic initiative to improve the
company's financial performance and sustainability.
