Analysis of BUMDes Financial Governance and the Strategy to Increase Village Revenue (Case Study of BUMDes Tamanharjo Bersinar in Malang Regency)

Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the financial governance of BUMDes Tamanharjo Bersinar in
Tamanharjo Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency based on Government Regulation No.
11 of 2021 and (2) identify the strategies undertaken by BUMDes in increasing village revenue
in Tamanharjo Village. This research emlpoys a descriptive qualitative approach, with data
collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of the study found that
(1) the financial management of BUMDes Tamanharjo Bersinar is not fully in accordance with
PP No. 11 of 2021, particularly at the recording stage, where the balance sheet report which
should be prepared semiannually is not compiled, and the accountability and supervision stage
which is not submitted to the village discussion forum. (2) Investment in the form of capital
participation from the community as a BUMDes strategy in business planning to obtain
additional capital for business development, thereby enchancing the contribution of BUMDes
to the PADes of Tamanharjo Village.
