This study explored the determinants of job satisfaction among employees of the Suyo Multipurpose Cooperative, with a specific focus on its Main Branch in Uso and Bitalag Branch in
Tagudin, Ilocos Sur. Using a descriptive-correlational research design, the study aimed to
identify and analyze how various factors—such as work environment, performance appraisal,
organizational commitment, and compensation—impact the overall job satisfaction of
employees. A structured questionnaire was distributed to gather data from employees, profiling
them based on demographic variables such as age, sex, position, years of service, education
level, and number of training sessions or seminars attended. The analysis provided valuable
insights into how these individual and organizational factors influence employee satisfaction
and their experience within the cooperative. Findings revealed that improvements in the work
environment, provision of fair and equitable compensation packages, and the implementation
of effective performance appraisal systems significantly contribute to higher levels of job
satisfaction. Moreover, a strong sense of organizational commitment was found to reinforce
positive employee attitudes and morale. The study concluded with specific recommendations
designed to enhance job satisfaction and ultimately improve overall organizational
performance. These recommendations emphasize a strategic approach to employee engagement
and retention through supportive work policies and fair management practices.
